School has been a little less organized this month. We've done lessons when we can. We've read a lot, and have done a TON of science experiments. We've even been practicing our sign language. But life has been CRAZY in our house, so we've had less chunks of school time and more "an activity here and there" time.
We've still been keeping up on our Story of the World. We learned about Crete and read the story of the Minotaur. The boys made a lego labyrinth, complete with a minotaur. They even got a ball of string so the warrior could find his way out.
We also did an Oregon Trail unit. The kids made topographic maps of the US and marked the Oregon Trail and major landmarks on it. We even practiced some extra geography review by adding a Key and a Compass Rose.
This coming week is our Winter Break. We'll take the week off. We'll hopefully return to "typical" school the following week. I love this about homeschooling. Our schedule is so flexible! It fits life patterns so easily.
