beach trip!

We just got back from a fabulous vacation with my family. I have to sort through all of our pics still (there were so many!), but here's one I got from my sister. That is one proud grandpa with his grandkids (next year the babies can be in the shot, too!). We had so much fun and are adjusting to the normal, quiet life without 16 people around. More pics and stories to follow.

Yitto

P's cousins visited last weekend.  His oldest cousin had a rugby tourney in Cincinnati, so the whole fam came down for the games.  It was great to get to see them, and the brought with them their new dog (only a few weeks old).  It doesn't have a name yet, so A kept calling him "little"... of course it came out as "Yitto".  He still asks for the cousins by name, and he wonders when "Yitto" will come to play.

A few more random pics

A's goofy face

C hanging with daddy.  He has some of the greatest facial expressions.

Baby C: 3 months old

A LOVES to be "nakey".  This is his favorite way to run around the house.  Of course, any time someone has skin showing (short sleeve shirt, bare feet, shorts, etc), A isn't used to it because of the many layers worn during winter, so he'll yell out "You Nakey!"  We have to cure him of this before summer kicks into full swing.  The neighbors will wonder when they hear A yelling "Mommy Nakey!"

I unwrapped C from his nap, and his hand was in the pocket of these sweatpants.  It was adorable!  I ran to get the camera, and he got so excited that he flailed his arm right out of the pocket.  I was a second too late!

Outdoor fun

We couldn't be more thankful that Spring has finally arrived.  A loves to be outside.  He is a completely different kid on the days when he gets fresh air.  We have been blessed with some of the greatest neighborhood friends.  Within a stretch of 6 houses, there are 12 kids, most of them 5 and under, and the love to play with A.  Here are some pics from this week.  They are playing with a bubble gun.  They loved spraying bubbles everywhere (including each other's hair!).  It was fun to see A having such a blast with his friends.

My Turn

Over and over, I've seen it to be true that little kids only want what someone else has.  A is learning the art of sharing, so after C has had some time in the exersaucer, I always hear "My Turn."  I don't know how it can be comfortable, but A loves to play in the exersaucer now, even with it set on the lowest level.  Before C was born, I'm sure I couldn't bribe him to get in it.  But now that someone else seems to be having fun, A doesn't want to be left out.

I asked A to get his pic taken with C.  I was envisioning them standing a little closer together!

3 Months Old

Baby C is now 3 months old!  He has FINALLY outgrown the colicky stage!  He truly is a sweet boy who loves to smile and laugh.  He is much more alert and loves to see the world around him.  Here are a few recent pics of our little man.

10 years old?

So, A went to bed as a 2 year old, and I think he woke up as a 10 year old. He has said some of the craziest things this morning.

*He wanted to read me a story from the Bible, so I randomly opened to a page. He said, "Jesus. John. Baptize." Now, we've read that story before, but I had NO IDEA he knew anything about it. I was floored!

*Then we were doing a puzzle with a fire truck. He said, "Night." I had no idea what he was talking about. Then he expanded. "Fire truck. Night. One, two, three." Last night we went for a walk and saw three fire trucks.

*One of the puzzle pieces had a cloud on it, and he was trying to put it at the bottom. I said, "Where do we look for clouds?" trying to get him to put it at the top. His answer was, "Miss Patti's class. Clouds? No clouds. Eat." This past week at his speech class, we went out side to look for clouds, but there was not a single cloud in the sky. So we went inside for snack time.

All this from a kid that only knew two words four months ago! I feel like there were a lot more stories just from this morning, but I can't remember them and I am running out of time to type. I'll try to add more later. And I'll try to add pics. I know I have a lot of pics to catch up on since the camera has been fixed.
